What Is Microneedling?

Medical-grade microneedling (collagen induction therapy) uses a motorized pen-like device with a disposable sterile needle cartridge to create thousands of precise, controlled micro-channels in the skin. This triggers the body's natural healing response, stimulating new collagen and elastin production to improve texture, tone, scarring, and overall skin quality.

Unlike dermaplaning or chemical peels, microneedling works at the dermis level where lasting structural change occurs. Results improve over the following weeks as collagen remodeling continues. For optimal outcomes, a series of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended.

About the Treatment

How It Works

A motorized pen delivers controlled vertical punctures (0.25mm–2.5mm depth adjusted per area), creating a uniform healing response across the entire treatment zone without thermal damage.

Safe for All Skin Types

Because microneedling uses mechanical stimulation rather than heat, it is safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types including darker skin tones that may not be candidates for laser treatments.

Minimal Downtime

Sessions take 30–60 minutes with topical numbing applied beforehand. Most patients experience 24–48 hours of redness similar to a mild sunburn. Most return to normal activities the next day.

Enhanced Serum Absorption

The micro-channels created during treatment enhance topical serum absorption by up to 80%, making it an ideal time to deliver growth factors, hyaluronic acid, or PRP directly to the dermis.
